Public Safety Notice: Illegal Use of Off -Road Bikes.

Derby East SNT which covers , Alvaston/ Boulton Sinfin / Chellaston has received an increasing number of complaint's regarding the illegal use of off road bikes, dirt bikes, and ATVS on public roads, sidewalks, and in residential neighbourhoods. 

Off-road vehicles are not designed or permitted for use on public streets unless properly registered and equipped according to state law. Operating these vehicles unlawfully creates serious safety risks for riders, pedestrians, and motorists. 

We would like to remind the public 

Off -road bikes and ATVS may only be operated in designated areas.

Riding on public roadways, sidewalks, parks, or private property without permission is prohibited. 

Violations may result in fines and possibly vehicle impoundment .

Parents and guardians may be held responsible for minors operating these vehicles illegally. 

Our priority is the safety of the entire community. We ask for your cooperation in ensuring these  vehicles are used responsibly and legally.
